A leading law firm was keen to build resilience in their newly qualified lawyers to prepare them for the transition. For these junior lawyers, there is a dramatic shift in expectations and responsibility placed upon them. They face pressure to operate efficiently, deal with customers, balance multiple requests and deadlines all with limited support due to the busy environment.
Solution
Austen Advisory facilitated a customised workshop to address these challenges. The session aimed to;
- Raise their awareness of the mental, physical and emotional impact of stress to enable them to recognise early warning signs
- Enable sharing of experiences from peers and more experienced lawyers for coping strategieis
- Provide them with a selection of practice tools and techniques for building their resilience to bring back to the workplace
