“During such unprecedented times where many of us are finding their way in the new normal on a daily basis, AURA’s insights helped take stock and reflect. The coaching session provided me with a deeper understanding of where my state of mind is at, where I may need to make changes and most importantly ideas and solutions to help me improve my quality of life both inside and outside of work. Very useful programme, would highly recommend to others.”

Background & challenge
This was a small to medium global executive search firm. Like for many companies, the ongoing pressure and stress of the pandemic was impacting employee wellbeing and engagement. Many employees did not identify themselves as in need of ‘mental health support’, therefore would not make us of an EAP or counselling service. However, the high workloads, uncertainty and constant change was taking its toll on everyone, causing a wide compass of issues.
The firm were keen to provide employees with access to 1:1 coaching as a forum for discussing and getting support with any issues that may be affecting their wellbeing in their personal and professional life. For some, this may involve some help staying productive and on top of the high workload so they can ‘thrive not survive’, for others, this may involve support with mental health issues such as anxiety or low mood.
Solution
Austen Advisory provided a confidential, on demand ‘resilience coaching’ service. Employees completed our AURA resilience assessment to gain insight into their personal resilience level and stress profile. Then, they attended a virtual 60 minute coaching session where the coaches drew on the assessment insights to hone in on issues and form a targeted remedial action plan. The coaches shared practical tips and tools for responding effectively to the inevitable challenges that come along. Employees also had access to AURA’s resilience resources library and received a weekly quick tips email to maintain their momentum and support ongoing learning. Those in need were able to request follow up sessions.
